In today's sophisticated and high-speed business climate, our success depends on the quality of communication between our clients and potential candidates. With our extensive experience, we often find ourselves in the role of consultant to the hiring manager and their supporting human resource professionals. This kind of collaborative relationship ensures that our search-and-selection process will reflect the objectives, values, decision-making methods and cultural style of the client’s company.

Due to our consultative approach, we have a very high recruiting success rate. We overcome obstables presented during the search in order to fill positions in a minimal amount of time. Following are a few recent examples:

Handler & Associates Recent Success Stories

VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES - TECHNOLOGY COMPANY
Client: A $1 billion dollar publicly traded technology company in Atlanta.

Challenges: The company went through a period of high turnover in its HR department. They needed an HR leader with organizational development experience who, over time, would be able to assume added responsibilities.

Process & Outcome: We focused our candidate search in the Atlanta area. Within 45 days we referred five strong finalists. The client hired the person who best fit their needs and culture. The client stated that during the search our communication was outstanding and the candidates presented were exceptional.

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - COMMUNITY BANK
Client: An 18 branch, multi-million dollar community bank in Tennessee.

Challenges: The immediate need was for a person with a strong banking background who could manage three of the bank’s major business groups. This person would also be successor to the CEO. This was a confidential search for a newly created position, which made attracting qualified candidates more challenging.

Process & Outcome: Our strategy was to pursue candidates who worked for recently acquired banks in targeted regions. Within 60 days, we presented a final slate of four candidates. The Board and CEO were pleased that we attracted several high caliber individuals to a smaller market. They hired a solid leader to their management team and now have an established succession plan.

E-BUSINESS DIRECTOR - WHOLESALE DISTRIBUTOR
Client: A multi-billion dollar wholesale distributor in Alabama, a division of a Fortune 100 company.

Challenges: The client had an existing E-business program but needed stronger leadership to take the program to a higher level. We conducted a confidential search to replace an incumbent. The client is headquartered in a small market with a limited candidate pool. We also had to consider the client’s strong corporate culture.

Process & Outcome: We conducted our search nationally. Using our firm’s standard interviewing process, which includes a personality assessment, we were able to attract candidates with the right skill-set and that fit the client’s culture. We successfully recruited an E-business professional from a company in a different industry, but whose business model is similar to that of our client.
