As the son of founder Bill Handler, Eric Handler literally grew up in the search business and has worked in every aspect of the industry including search strategy development, research, candidate identification, candidate qualification, interviewing and negotiations. His experience and hands-on approach allow him to operate with speed and efficiency.
One of the most connected retained executive search consultants; Eric is a veteran of over 500 executive searches. Eric specializes in recruiting senior executives and leverages his passion for technology, his deep network and the firm’s 35-year legacy to deliver remarkable service. This translates into finding great leaders for great companies.
Prior to joining the recruiting industry, Eric was part of a venture capital start-up where he assisted in raising a $30 million fund, traded commodities and helped establish new business process re-engineering functions for Southwire Corporation. Eric received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Auburn University and an MBA from Georgia State University.
Outside of his role at Handler & Associates, Eric applies his recruiting expertise to help unemployed job seekers and is a frequent speaker at events. For over 12 years, Eric has volunteered his time to Atlanta Jobseekers, a faith based organization dedicated to helping people through the challenges of career transition and has written and developed “Career Handler,” a comprehensive book and step-by-step job search training program. Eric is also involved in the mentorship program through Safehouse Outreach and is an alumni advisor to young men at Lambda Chi Alpha.
Eric is married to his wife Jamie and they have two children, daughter Ella and son Luke. They regularly attend Buckhead Church. Eric enjoys playing golf, skiing, time with family and coaching his kid's sports teams. War Eagle!
