Laura Lloyd – Principal

Laura Lloyd is responsible for client engagements including search strategy development, candidate identification and qualification, interviews and negotiations. Laura leverages her career experience in both the private and non-profit sectors to serve her clients by finding great leaders for great companies.

Laura has senior management expertise focused on talent leadership, funding, finance, and growth strategies.  Prior to joining Handler & Associates, Laura Lloyd spent over a decade as a co-founder of a K-12 college preparatory, independent school.  As Chief Advancement Officer, she led the non-profit giving plan raising over $55 million for major capital and educational programs.  She designed organizational plans and recruited key staff needed to address the rapid growth.  Previously, she enjoyed a fifteen-year career as a partner in a management consultancy serving the financial services industry throughout the North, Central and South Americas.  She was a highly respected speaker on business trends for television and live events.  She led strategic planning engagements to assist companies with the acceleration of profitability and growth opportunities for executive level leadership.  She began her career with Bank of America, formerly Bank South, completing the Executive Management Training Program and advancing to Vice President of National Corporate Accounts.  Laura Lloyd received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) majoring in both Finance and Accounting from The University of Georgia.  She has served on several educational Board of Trustees and is a current trustee for the Maddox Family Foundation.  She has been a strong community advocate focused on youth education and wellness.
