Handler Announces Controller Search for Card-Monroe Corporation

ATLANTA, GA. – August 25, 2025

We are pleased to announce Handler’s launch of a search for Card-Monroe Corporation (CMC) to hire a Controller for their headquarters in Hixson/Chattanooga, TN.

The Controller will provide financial leadership for the organization, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and the effectiveness of internal controls. This individual will lead the accounting team, drive process improvements, and play a key role in strategic initiatives such as business expansion, acquisitions, and system implementations. The Controller’s leadership is critical to supporting CMC’s continued growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all accounting operations including cash, AR, AP, GL, fixed assets, inventory, payroll, and project accounting
  • Own consolidated financial statements and reporting, including intercompany eliminations and subsidiary inclusion
  • Oversee month-end close, audits, and inventory counts in alignment with GAAP and internal deadlines
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors; manage audits and tax filings across multiple states and countries
  • Partner with leadership on cash-flow forecasting, strategic projects, and process automation
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to the accounting team, fostering collaboration and accountability

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, consolidations, internal controls, and audit processes
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Epicor a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, CPA or CMA preferred
