Handler Announces CPA & Family Wealth Planner Search for James Harris & Co.
ATLANTA, GA. – March 9, 2026
We are pleased to announce Handler’s launch of a search for James Harris & Co. to hire a CPA & Family Wealth Planner. James Harris & Co. is a boutique family office practice dedicated to serving high-net-worth families and closely held business owners throughout the Southeastern United States.
The CPA & Family Wealth Planner will play a foundational role in launching and building the firm’s affiliated CPA platform. Initially, this individual will maintain and serve their own CPA clients—providing tax preparation, filings, and compliance—while partnering with the Managing Partner on proactive tax planning and advisory conversations with high-net-worth families and business owners.
Over time, the role is expected to evolve into a more strategic advisory position supporting a focused group of core family office relationships, while continuing to maintain and serve a core group of CPA clients. This opportunity also offers the potential to participate in ownership of the CPA firm, creating a unique platform for an entrepreneurial CPA interested in building a long-term advisory practice.
Key Qualifications:
• Active CPA license with strong tax compliance and planning experience for private businesses and entrepreneurs
• Experience advising high-net-worth families and closely held businesses ($25M+ net worth)
• Advisory mindset beyond traditional tax preparation
• Entrepreneurial builder interested in helping grow a CPA platform
• Executive presence to engage founders, CEOs, and multi-generational families
• Existing book of business or ability to transition clients (preferred)
Education Requirement — Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, advanced degree preferred. Active CPA license required
