Handler Announces NAPA Category Manager – Accessories Search
ATLANTA, GA. – July 10, 2026
We are pleased to announce Handler’s launch of a search for NAPA to hire a Category Manager-Accessories. This key role will be based at headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
The Category Manager owns the strategic category direction focused on enhancing NAPA’s sales, profit, inventory turns, and market position within the industry while upholding NAPA’s high standards of ethics and integrity as a representative of the company.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Category Management experience with demonstrated success owning categories from strategy through execution. This individual should possess a true merchant mindset with a passion for identifying new market opportunities and have experience building programs—not simply
maintaining existing business.
Specific functions and responsibilities of the position include:
- Demonstrated ability to independently own a category with minimal direction or oversight
- Strong merchant mindset with a proven ability to identify market opportunities and commercialize new products and programs
- Experience launching new product lines, merchandising programs, supplier partnerships, or entirely new categories
- Strong supplier relationship management, negotiation, and new supplier development experience
- Demonstrated ability to build business cases using sales data, market trends, customer feedback, and financial analysis
- Proven ability to manage highly complex, multi-SKU assortments and multiple congruent and diverging projects
- Experience prioritizing numerous simultaneous initiatives while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Strong financial acumen including pricing strategy, margin management, profitability analysis, and assortment optimization
- Ability to analyze and derive insights from imperfect data and make sound commercial decisions (advanced Excel)
- Automotive aftermarket experience preferred, not required
- Experience with private label development, supplier program creation, or launching products from the ground up is highly desirable
Education Requirement — Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in Business
