Handler Announces NAPA Sr. Analyst Assortment Planning Search

ATLANTA, GA. – September 29, 2026– We are pleased to announce Handler’s launch of a search for NAPA to hire a Sr. Analyst, Assortment Planning for their headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

Assortment Planning is a newer function at NAPA, built from the ground up over the past year, and the company is in the midst of a broader transformation with renewed executive focus on better leveraging its independent owner network and inventory. This role gives a Sr. Analyst the rare chance to help build processes, tools, and analytics from scratch rather than execute an established playbook, with direct visibility to Category Management and Assortment Planning leadership as the team scales.

The ideal candidate will be a sharp analytical thinker with 2+ years turning large, messy data sets into a clear story and a recommendation, not just a report. Retail or merchandising exposure is a plus, though not required. Equally important: collaborative, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by building new processes and tools rather than following an existing playbook.

Specific functions and responsibilities of the position include:

  • 2+ years of analytics and process improvement experience, ideally within retail or merchandising.
  • Advanced Excel skills plus hands-on experience querying large data sets (e.g., BigQuery or similar).
  • Proven ability to turn large data sets into a clear, hypothesis-driven story and a business result.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including building PowerPoint materials for leadership.
  • Experience with Power BI or other analytics visualization tools is strongly preferred here.
  • Prior exposure to merchandising or assortment modeling applications and tools is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Process Improvement, or equivalent work experience is required
