Handler Announces NAPA Sr. Director Category Management Search
ATLANTA, GA. – June 23, 2025
We are pleased to announce Handler’s launch of a search for Genuine Parts Company’s “US Automotive Group” to hire a Sr. Director Category Management. Many know this company under its popular “NAPA” brand.
The Senior Director, Category Management is responsible for driving sales and profitability growth across a group of product categories. This person will lead a team of Category Managers ensuring an optimal mix of financial, operational, and customer outcomes with clearly defined KPIs.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of category leadership experience—preferably within high-volume retail, distribution, or manufacturing—and a proven track record in developing category strategies, solving complex problems, and launching new products.
Specific functions and responsibilities of the position include:
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Category and Associate Category Managers
- Build and execute category strategies and business plans that align with short and long-term objectives
- Create and own integrated go-to-market plans in collaboration with marketing and sales leaders
- Analyze category performance, including revenue, volume, margin, competitive gaps, and product mix (good/better/best)
Education Requirement — Bachelor’s degree in business, MBA preferred
