Handler Announces Vice President, Automation Intelligence Search for Motion Automation Intelligence (Motion Ai)
ATLANTA, GA. – January 5, 2026
We are pleased to announce Handler’s launch of a search for Motion Ai to hire a Vice President, Automation Intelligence . Motion Automation Intelligence (Motion Ai) is one of Motion Industries’ most strategic and fastest-growing platforms, focused on industrial automation, factory automation, and advanced, engineering-driven solutions. Built through a series of targeted acquisitions, Motion Ai operates as a roll-up of specialized automation businesses and is positioned to become the first truly national, coast-to-coast automation solutions platform in a highly fragmented market.
The VP of Automation Intelligence will own full P&L responsibility for the Motion Automation Intelligence business, establishing and executing a multi-year strategy aligned with Motion and GPC enterprise objectives while driving operating rigor, performance management, and accountability across all divisions. The leader will set and execute a national go-to-market strategy in close partnership with sales leadership, accelerating organic growth through pricing discipline, portfolio mix, supplier programs, and commercial excellence, while strengthening relationships with strategic customers and national accounts.
The successful candidate will be a proven senior business leader with 10+ years of experience in industrial automation, factory automation, or process automation, and a demonstrated track record of full P&L ownership and enterprise leadership. This executive must have experience running a business of meaningful scale, with the ability to set strategy, lead leaders, and drive disciplined, profitable growth.
Education Requirement — Bachelor’s degree required , advanced degree preferred
