Placement Made: Handler Announces VP of Human Resources search for Composition Brands
ATLANTA, GA. – April 20, 2026
We are pleased to announce Handler’s launch of a search for a Vice President of Human Resources for one of our premier clients, Composition Brands. The position is in Buford, Georgia.
This role functions as the primary HR Business Partner to North America business leaders, blending high-level organizational design with the daily technical execution required in a standalone environment. While each manufacturing and distribution location is supported by a local HR leader, this role bridges strategy and execution, personally driving the design and direct rollout of regional people processes.
The ideal candidate is a builder and operator—a leader who thrives in environments where structure must be created, not inherited. This individual is energized by the opportunity to step into a newly independent organization and establish the people foundation that will enable long-term success.
Additional qualifications include:
- 10–15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including a proven track record as a strategic HR Business Partner within complex organizations
- Demonstrated experience building core HR infrastructure, including payroll, benefits, and foundational processes; prior exposure to standalone or carve-out environments preferred
- Deep experience within manufacturing and distribution settings, with the ability to operate effectively in both executive leadership environments and industrial operations
- Familiarity with the pace and expectations of a private equity backed environment preferred; experience supporting the organizational change or value creation initiatives is a plus
- Strong collaboration and influence skills, with experience navigating matrixed organizations and partnering across international teams
- Hands-on proficiency with HRIS/HCM systems; comfortable operating within the system and driving outcomes directly, not solely through delegation
- Comprehensive knowledge of North American employment law and regulatory environments (U.S. and Canada), including OSHA and industrial compliance standards
Education Requirement — Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required; advanced degree (MBA/Master’s) or professional certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred
