Placement Made: Handler Announces NAPA Senior Analyst Assortment Planner Search

ATLANTA, GA. – July 11, 2025

We are pleased to announce Handler’s launch of a search for Genuine Parts Company’s  “US Automotive Group” to hire a Senior Analyst Assortment Planner.  Many know this company under its popular “NAPA” brand.

The Senior Analyst Assortment Planning will play a pivotal role in optimizing inventory assortments across NAPA stores by leveraging data-driven insights and fostering strong relationships with key partners. This individual will drive smarter inventory decisions, support sales growth, and ensure alignment with field leadership and category teams—all while acting as a trusted advisor to both company-owned and independently owned stores.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in analytics and process improvement and the ability to demonstrate advanced analytical skills with a high level of proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Qlik.

Specific functions and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Track and analyze store-level sales, profit, and inventory turnover at the category level to identify performance trends and inform assortment strategies
  • Provide location-specific assortment gap analysis and recommend adjustments using data from broader store groups (e.g., Market, DC, Division)
  • Utilize reporting tools to identify and model returns of underperforming inventory while recommending best-selling SKUs not currently stocked
  • Partner with category teams to align new product availability with local stocking strategies
  • Collaborate with field leaders, ISOs, and inventory planners to ensure optimal balance of breadth and depth in store assortments
  • Serve as a trusted partner and key point of contact for COS and ISO leadership, building strong, credible relationships
  • Execute quarterly order and return cycles for assigned stores while identifying and contributing to continuous process improvements
  • Engage with internal technology partners to enhance proprietary assortment modeling tools
  • Establish subject matter expertise in assortment modeling, inventory management, and supply chain practices to support strategic growth across the network

Education Requirement — Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or related field from an accredited college or university is required.
